Nakivale Refugee Settlement

Nakivale refugee settlement is located in Isingiro District near the Tanzania border in Southwest Uganda. It was established in 1958 and officially recognized as a refugee settlement in 1960 through the Uganda Gazette General Notice No. 19. Currently, the majority of refugees in the settlement are Congolese. The settlement is divided into 79 villages with an average of 800 to 1,000 people per village.

After a long period of lock down due to the global pandemic, which affected players in the field of football, one of the strongest restrictions due to Covid-19 was social distancing. It's now 2 weeks since Naki Football Academy resumed training as the Ugandan government reopened sport activities.
