WHAT IS COVID-19?


Coronavirus is a new contagious virus that infects both humans and animals.

It presents symptoms similar to the common cold or flu.

It is very dangerous, spreads very fast and kills.


HOW CAN YOU PREVENT COVID-19


▪Wash your hands with soap and water regularly

▪Cover your nose and mouth when coughing

▪Sneeze in a tissue or flexed elbow

▪Avoid contact with anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms

▪Thoroughly cook meat and eggs

▪Avoid unprotected contact with live wild or farm animals


DOES COVID-19 AFFECTED OLDER PEOPLE OR ARE YOUNGER PEOPLE ALSO SUSCEPTIBLE?


People of all ages can be infected by COVID-19.

Older people , and people with pre-existing medical conditions (such as asthma, diabetes, heart disease) appear to be more vulnerable to becoming severely ill with the virus.


The most common symptoms of COVID-19 are fever, tiredness, and dry cough.

Some patients may have aches and pains throat or diarrhea.

These symptoms are usually mild and begin gradually.
